Hideki had previously worked at JAFCO Co., Ltd. the largest venture capital firm in Japan. He was involved in providing support to promising entrepreneurs, growing them into successful investments, Most notably: Full Speed Inc. (TSE:2159), SMS Co Ltd (TSE:2175) and Rentracks Co Ltd (TSE:6045).
Administrator at SEGNEL
Prior to joining SEGNEL, Hisako was in a consultancy practice in Japan. She controlled back office works such as accounting, legal affairs, personnel affairs, general affairs and assisted venture capital firms with administration.
She had previously worked at JAFCO Co., Ltd. the largest venture capital firm in Japan, and was involved in legal due diligence.
Cheng Wei Ng
Legal Counsel at SEGNEL
Entrepreneur, lawyer, and tech geek. At the age of 17, Cheng Wei began a decade-long menteeship with a venture capitalist, which led to him working a motley array of roles at various start-ups – including fund-raising, artiste management, project management and urban photography – before founding his first start-up, 151 Project, more than 7 years ago.
Cheng Wei graduated from the Singapore Management University’s School of Law and went on to practise at Allen & Gledhill. Alas, the bite of the start-up bug was incurable and Cheng Wei later left legal practice for a stint at Massive Collective – then the largest nightlife group in Singapore – heading the legal, accounts, human-resources and tech departments of the group.
Currently, Cheng Wei runs his own corporate services firm, CorpZap, assisting several hundred start-ups in the region with their business and legal needs.
Tech Lead at SEGNEL
Jerry Tang is the Tech Lead at SEGNEL. His mission is to create software to help SMEs boost their productivity affordably. He believes technology should improve human life rather than increase SMEs' burden, in terms of finance, labour and time.
Prior to joining SEGNEL, he worked in software development houses in Singapore as a software developer for more than 5 years where he was then promoted to project manager due to his easy going and dedicated personality.
Recently, his company CubeNeko was invested by SEGNEL and renamed to Segnel Tech Pte Ltd in hopes of becoming ASEAN's largest software house.
